Pilates, led by instructor Larissa Morais, is an exercise method focusing on (core strength), flexibility, postural control, and body alignment. This practice is particularly effective for those seeking to strengthen and lengthen the body in a balanced way with low impact on the joints.

Benefits of Pilates

  • Muscle Strengthening: Pilates intensively works the core, which includes the abdominal, lower back, and gluteal muscles, providing greater stability and strength to the entire body.
  • Improved Posture: Through proper body alignment, Pilates helps improve posture and relieve tension, especially in the back and shoulders.
  • Increased Flexibility: Stretching and strengthening movements increase flexibility in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Stress Reduction: By focusing on breathing and controlled movements, Pilates promotes mental relaxation and helps reduce stress levels.
  • Injury Prevention: It strengthens deep muscles and improves balance, contributing to a lower risk of injuries and joint wear.

Who is Pilates For?

Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. It is especially recommended for:

  • Those who want to tone their body in a balanced way;
  • People recovering from injuries (always with medical clearance);
  • Those who spend long periods sitting and need postural support;
  • Pregnant women, as Pilates is a safe way to improve physical endurance during pregnancy (always with professional supervision).

Larissa Morais is a Physical Therapist with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and a specialization in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation. With over 15 years of experience, she has developed an integrated care approach, combining technical expertise with a humanized touch in patient care.

Her specializations include Scientific Classical Pilates and Women’s Health Physical Therapy. She constantly seeks to refine her techniques to offer individualized and effective treatments.
